After testing a NQ Clarifier for 4 months we have come to love this machine. We have done a tremendous amount of diligence in the last year on Air Purifiers and truly believe this is the most well designed unit to date. Not only does the Clarifier provide 15lbs of activated carbon media to remove gaseous contaminants, but it also has an incredible high quality HEPA filter with 80 sq ft of material. The Clarifier has an inexpensive easy to clean prefilter. Most importantly, it has a properly designed UV chamber with 2 UV bulbs with double tubes that have plenty of time exposure in the large chamber to effective kill bacteria and viruses. We also really like the fact that this unit is constructed with galvanized steel that is powder coated to eliminate offgasing and durability concerns of plastic models. NQ Industries has also done a phenomenal job in designing the air output sending the air in the “breathing zone” of people versus knee level like many models on the market. On the highest of its three setting the purifier only draws 130 watts, outputting 350 CFM, making it a unit that processes a tremendous volume of air at minimal energy usage. In summary, what you get is a properly sealed filter compartment, UV lights, steel construction, proper air discharge design, efficient durable unit, that is to top things off made in the USA.
